Rx. Ephedrae Ma Huang 6g Induces sweating, releases the Exterior and warms and disperses Cold pathogens.
With Xing Ren, for Wind-Cold coughing and wheezing.
Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 9g Releases the Exterior, assists Yang, adjusts the Ying and Wei and warms and facilitates the flow of Qi through the channels and collaterals and Blood through the vessels.
With Ma Huang, for Wind-Cold Excess conditions with fever and chills but no sweat.
With Bai Shao, for External Wind-Cold with disharmony between the Ying and Wei (Tai Yang Zhong Feng), with spontaneous sweating, fever and chills.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 12g Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin and adjusts the Ying and Wei.
With Gan Cao, regulates the relationship between the Liver and Spleen.
With Gui Zhi, Sheng Jiang and Da Zao, for Wind-Cold with Deficiency and perspiration.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 6g Releases the Exterior, induces perspiration, disperses Cold, adjusts the Ying and Wei and normalizes the flow of Qi at the center.
With Gui Zhi, strongly induces sweating for the treatment of External Wind-Cold with chills, fever, body aches and anhidrosis.
With Gui Zhi and Da Zao, harmonizes the Ying and Wei to drive out pathogens.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 6g Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
With Ma Huang, Sheng Jiang and Xing Ren, for coughing or wheezing due to Wind-Cold Attacks the Lungs.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 9g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi, nourishes the Blood and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Sheng Jiang, for External Wind-Cold and adjusts the Ying and Wei for treatment of Tai Yang Zhong Feng.
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 9g Stops coughing and calms wheezing.
With Ma Huang and Gan Cao, for coughing with profuse sputum, nasal obstruction and a hoarse voice.
